The museum of Aboriginal Art (AAMU) celebrates her 10th anniversary. In the anniversary exhibition Be My Guest: 10 Encounters with Aboriginal Art art works by major names in Aboriginal art will enter into a dialogue with art from a wide range of disciplines and regions.

In the Singer museum in Laren you can visit a retrospective exhibition of the painter Jan Sluijters, organized in collaboration with RKD (Netherlands Institute for Art HIstory). 80 pieces of his best work are showed here. Early academic work and the sensational works from Paris. Potraits, little luministic landscapes, still lives, cityviews, interiors and for the first time his studio. Sluijters is one of the inovators of Dutch landscape painting at the beginning of the 20th century and is known as the master of colour. Of course Leslie Smith Gallery also has work of this amazing artist.

The prestigious Centre Pompidou in Paris has loaned forty of its top works for a special exhibition in Gemeentemuseum Den Haag. The exhibition includes famous masterpieces by such artists as Kandinsky, Brancusi, Picasso, Matisse, Miró, Giacometti, Léger, Braque and Delaunay. The exhibition will be opening on 15 October 2011

Visit Centre Pompidou in Paris for 'Dance your Life', an unprecedented exhibition dedicated to te links between the visual arts and dance from the 1900s until today. You can see paintings, drawings and video images about dancing, as wel as performance art and dance shows. For example: everyday there is life dancing in front of a painting by Matisse.

From 21 December 2011 to 26 March 2012, the Rijksmuseum will be presenting the 'Dutch Winters' exhibition at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol. The evolution of the 19th-century winter landscape will be displayed by means of eight atmospheric paintings. Featured are works by Barend Cornelis Koekoek, Charles Leickert, Anton Mauve, Willem Witsen, Isaac Israëls, Louis Apol and more.

From January 20th to June 10th the Aboriginal Art Museum in Utrecht exhibits 'Heart and Soul, The Laverty Collection'. Famous and important Aboriginal Art collectors Colin and Elizabeth Laverty made a personal selection of the work of five of the most highly regarded artists in the Australian art world, Naata Nungurrayi for example. The exhibition shows the individual touch and style of each artist and also makes it clear how widely Aboriginal art from the different areas varies.

In 'Between Fiction and Reality. The Cityvieuws by B.J. Van Hove (1790-1880)', The Hague Historical Museum brings a tribute to this painter, who played an important part in the cultural scene of The Hague. This first major exhibition shows more then 75 paintings and aquarrelles, of which many in private collections.
