Henri Pailler was born in 1876 in Poitiers, circa 300 km southwest of Paris, and was a French painter. He was an apprentice at the Académie des Beaux-Arts, where he received painting lessons by Léon Bonnat (1833-1922). Pailler was not the only talented student Bonnat taught.
